Green X And Com


The above image of a random recruit in X-Com: Enemy Unknown comes courtesy of Jacob, via my email. He assures me that it came from a friend's game and that he didn't edit the name or callsign beyond what the game assigned it. So either Jacob's friend is a big fat liar, or I am officially being shouted out by the developers of X-Com. That was nice of you, developers of X-Com! Look out for my ZP review in the next few weeks! Hope it doesn't jeopardise my new career as a space marine!

  7. Although I had some fun with XCOM:EU, I'd be somewhat surprised if you happened like it.

    I can't even say that its gameplay is up to par with the 1994 original. But if they add modding support it may improve to a significant degree, on PC at least.

    1. I'm actually really enjoying XCOM, even though I like the old UFO/X-COM more.

      As for the modding, there's quite a lot of folks over at the Nexus making some good mods for it. I'm sure they'll surprise us all with some great stuff.

      As for the main picture... that has been edited. It's actually really easy to change the default names/callsigns, they're just stored in lists and can be edited using Notepad.

    2. I think "fan" is such a dirty, arrogant word. Dehumanizing. Is it not enough for just "people" to appreciate other people's work without being labeled and placed into a group? Seems like a rather lazy way to do things. That's just my opinion anyways.

      All that aside, keep up the good work. People who appreciate what you do understand that you're busy and are more than happy to wait for whatever you want to share. :)

    3. I am not saying I disagree with you, in fact I agree that people have used words either incorrectly or to insult others by making them "dirty" or saying them in a way which makes them seem "arrogant", but I just want to defend the word fan, after all it is actually quite a nice word.

      Fan Noun:
      1 An apparatus with rotating blades that creates a current of air for cooling or ventilation.
      2 A person who has a strong interest in or admiration for a particular sport, art or entertainment form, or famous person.

      Verb:
      Cool (esp. a person or a part of the body) by waving something to create a current of air.

      its the person or people using the word you have a problem with not the word itself.

    I've been thinking the same thing. Show and Tell Podcast One (as well as the first "unnamed" podcast) have been gone from soundcloud for a while, and the second one won't work on mobile. They also are no longer up for download which is too bad. I had copies of all three on my phone, but alas, they were deleted. It'd be great if somebody who had them (yahtzee or otherwise just a fan who has copies of them) would upload them to Mediafire or something, or at least make a torrent. Still, can't complain about incredible free entertainment.

  19. Für alle, die das Spiel nicht kennen (Schande über euch):RS Gold
    Age of Empires hat ein einfaches Spielprinzip. Man startet im Mittelalter mit einem kleinen Dorf und einer Hand voll Menschen und muss sein Volk mit Wirtschaft, Milit?r und Gesellschaft zum Ruhm verhelfen. Dabei kann man zwischen 14 V?lkern und einer unendlichen Auswahl von Karten spielen. Es gibt so unglaublich viel zu entdecken!
