How can I make this clearer

Here, by popular and almost completely unspoken demand, is a follow-up to my Mogworld Q&A video I did last week. This one clarifies a few points people raised afterwards, such as whether there'll be signing events, whether the book will be available at street retailers, my true feelings about Terry Pratchett and exactly how much I ripped off a popular webcomic.

Just to clarify this clarification, no, Mogworld is almost completely unlike Looking For Group save sharing a source of inspiration. Just trust me on this one.

  2. I don't know if you read these comments, so I have no idea if I'm just talking to myself here.

But I was wondering would you ever go back and try and get Articulate Jim: A search for something, published?

I found it to be a rather enjoyable read and I'd prefer to be sat in public reading it from a book, rather than my laptop. I suppose I could always make my own printed version of it, however I don't have the resources to print the fucker off myself.

  3. You could always just right a book of short storys (kinda like THE HOPELESS ENDEAVOUR) and get that published. I think it would work well with your short periods of extreame focus brain.

Allso, you should consiter doing this mail call kind of thing every now and then. (every two weeks, monthly) Ask for a topic at the end of each show for new questions. More of a "ask Yahtzee" vs. the "Disagree with Yahtzee" that seems to come out of your extra punctuation.

  4. I can't help but feel this continuation of question is more aimed for stupids rather then unanswered questions about the book.

  5. Speaking about retail release dates, living in the US both book stores within thirty miles will not be selling Mogworld until the 31st of Aug. I suppose this is some sort of retribution for Australia's constant arbitrary delaying of games...

  6. You ought to use the 3rd movement of the moonlight sonata instead of the first. It's much more... exciting.

  8. ...I like ZP. I enjoy Yahtzee's humour. I like the sound of the book. Why do these three things not motivate me to buy the book? I dunno... Learning difficulties?... Maybe I should just buy the book... at some point... now... or later... no now... :S... GIVE ME A SIGN!

  11. Yahtzee,

I now find myself reasonably motivated to purchase your novel.

My question is: are all my purchasing options equally beneficial to you and Dark Horse? Do you get a bigger residual if I purchase your novel online, or will it be akin to purchasing it at my local bookstore?

I enjoy supporting said local bookstore - but I like seeing more of my money make it into the hands of artists when possible.

  12. "Gushing" har har, I'm going to go shoot myself after this, but I feel you should have played Jack Sparrow in PotC rather then Johnny Dep... or whatever that guys name is O.o

  13. Will it ever come out with a cover that won't forcibly remove my self respect if I'm seen with it?

I understand that Dark Horse is a comic company, but seriously, it looks like a bad new webcomic, which I sincerely hope wasn't what you were going for.

  14. I'm not sure if this is some joke on authors but I think the whole "wearing a suit and (... well you already wear a hat) and drinking bourbon and nodding slowly to piano music and generally looking vaguely Tom Waits-ish" thing is something that you should keep doing.

  15. I keep forgetting what the title of that piece you played at the beginning was.
